Receive SMS

In addition to our free SMS reply service, we also offer Dedicated Inbound Mobile numbers for receiving SMS text messages. SMS text messages received on a Dedicated Inbound Number are forwarded to you over the Internet. Unlike our free SMS reply service, a Dedicated Inbound Number can receive messages from a previously unknown mobile user. For example, this makes a dedicated inbound number suitable for use in advertising campaigns.

A Dedicated Inbound Number is a standard 11-digit UK number, it can be access outside the UK by prefixing the number with +44. UK mainland network subscriber will be charge their standard network rate for sending a message to a Dedicated Incoming Number. 

Forwarding Options

SMS messages received on the VME number can be forwarded to you instantly by the following methods:

• HTTP - We call a script on your website via a HTTP POST. 
• SMTP - We send an email to your email address

Dedicated Inbound Numbers are subject to a rental charge. The minimum rental period is 3 months. All fees are payable in advance.

Prices - Shared Shortcode Keyword

As an alternative to a Dedicated Inbound Number we can also offer a keyword on the shared 5 digit shortcode. The minimum rental period is 3 months. All fees are payable in advance.

Prices do not include the use of the shortcode for premium rate reverse billing. Please note, the shortcode is not able to receive messages from non-UK subscribers.

Trial Service

To trial this service, send an SMS message beginning with your username (followed by space and then your message) to +447786202820. Received messages will appear in your SMS Inbox, available when you login to your account.

To get your own VME number please contact sales at  sales@intellisoftware.co.uk. VME numbers can usually be set-up within 48hrs.
